(Conventional) masculinity is dead.
My portraits look to interrogate a sense of contemporary masculine identity, outside of the heteronormative and hegemonic ideal. Shot in the sitter's homes, this work attempts to queer the formal portrait, reclaiming it from outdated associations with social power and gender stereotyping. I hope to celebrate the inspiring individuals who not only exist, but thrive outside the norm.
